Define what the owner provides
List the exact equipment or material, approved manufacturer, quantity, delivery point, delivery date, and purchasing responsibility. Read schedules, specifications, and owner agreements together because the obligation may be split across several documents. Distinguish owner-furnished contractor-installed items from owner-furnished owner-installed items.

Price the contractor interface
Review unloading, inspection, inventory, storage, hoisting, blocking, rough-ins, connections, startup, testing, protection, and damage responsibility. Use the estimate scope inclusion register to assign each interface to a trade or cost code.

Check schedule and warranty exposure
Confirm when approved information and equipment must arrive. Late delivery may affect temporary work or remobilization. State who reports concealed damage and who coordinates manufacturer representatives.
Avoid promising warranty coverage the contract does not assign. Carry unresolved interfaces into the estimate proposal scope reconciliation so the proposal language matches the cost treatment.
