Build the fire alarm device takeoff reconciliation record
Use fire alarm plans, risers, device legends, sequences, equipment schedules, and related MEP drawings. Count devices by type and floor, then record the initiating circuit, notification circuit, signaling path, or network connection shown. Keep design-build additions separate from documented counts.
Use the fire protection estimate review as a related control. Keep this review tied to its own source population and cost lines.
Check quantities and scope boundaries
Record backboxes, modules, isolators, relays, power supplies, batteries, annunciators, pathway, cabling, and identification where the estimate basis includes them. Do not infer circuit loading or product capacity when the design leaves those choices unresolved.

Reconcile the package before release
Reconcile device counts with panels, risers, controlled equipment, smoke control, elevator interfaces, door releases, and sprinkler monitoring points. Preserve testing, programming, permits, and acceptance activities as named scope items with an assigned owner. Record unresolved assignments in the electrical feeder takeoff review and preserve the approved disposition with the estimate revision.
