Build the elevator scope estimate review record
Build a matrix for each elevator using plans, sections, schedules, details, and the current proposal. Record type, stops, openings, capacity, controls, cab finish basis, and stated exclusions.
Compare the record with the subcontractor quote scope leveling. Keep this review tied to its own source documents and cost lines.
Check quantity and responsibility
Assign hoistway structure, pits, embeds, rails, entrances, sills, machine spaces, ventilation, power, communications, fire alarm, and patching to the responsible package. AACE recommended practices offer general estimating references. Project documents and the approved estimate basis control the work.

Reconcile the estimate before release
Reconcile alternates, allowances, permits, inspections, testing, protection, and temporary use. Keep proposal qualifications beside the estimate instead of burying them in a lump sum. Close open assignments through the construction scope gap matrix and retain the decision with the estimate revision.
